For students who aim to achieve a Band Score of 6.5 or higher in the IELTS Academic or a 26+ on TOEFL.
Specifically, this course selection is for you if: you intend to study for a postgraduate degree that requires an IELTS band score of more than 6.0 or a TOEFL Score of 26+; if you intend to study overseas at a university that require an IELTS entrance band score of at least 6.5 or a TOEFL Score of 26+; if you need an IELTS ban score higher than a current band score of 6.0 or you want to improve your overall TOEFL Score.
This series of course material will give you lots of speaking time to improve accuracy and fluency while building a strong vocabulary base, reading strategies, listening and speaking skills.
This series of course will help you to become more aware of all stages of the IELTS and TOEFL English Proficiency exam and the most common topics.
The course will provide strategies for dealing with the different stages of the English Proficiency Exam:
Part 1 - Introduction and interview
Part 2 - Long turn/Extended talk
Part 3 - Discussion
The course will explain the Assessment Criteria for the Speaking paper:
Fluency and Coherence;
Grammatical Range and Accuracy;
Pronunciation; and how understanding these can help improve your score.
To achieve the highest score on an English Proficiency exam a high level use of vocabulary is required. You will expand your vocabulary range in the topics that often come up in written material and in conversational situations.
