Teacher Sherry is very patient and kind. She encourages me and builds my confidence in learning. I am very lucky to meet Teacher Sherry. My foundation is very poor. The teacher will also adjust my course content according to my needs. I look forward to the next class.

Neil gave me a response when I was terrible in my career. If we stay in our comfort zone for a long time, our lives will not be changed. When terrible things come to us that means we have a chance to change our lives, as long as we make a decision, the terrible things will become our experience and a force to push us to turn to other stages
Tomorrow will be better.

We did a reading comprehension B2 level. Tatiana really prepared ahead and wants you to be successful in French. For example, I had been mispronouncing é and è wrongly for years and nobody had corrected my pronunciation like Tatiana.

Mike always reminds me to use the correct tense because I often forget to pronounce verbs in the past tense. I still find it tricky to remember the 'ed' sound, especially with words like 'watched.' We discussed a movie in which a minor character records a video of a mysterious monster attacking New York. As they evacuate to a safe place, they must first rescue a woman who is the main character’s lover, trapped in her apartment in Manhattan. Honestly, when I first watched this film, I felt confused and dizzy because the camera was shaken so much. This style, reminiscent of a real documentary, is quite unique to me. However, in my opinion, the storyline is predictable and straightforward in depicting how fear compels people to remain strong and brave.

Last time teacher Roger pointed out the problem of my writing that the clarity was not good enough. I tried to correct the contents of my writing this time and he said they were clear but there were still some grammar mistakes that I had to fix. I really appreciate that teacher Roger leads me step by step and encourages me to keep improving by practicing. During our speaking practice, I felt free and relaxed when I answered those questions. Teacher Roger told me that if I can perform like that at the exam, there would be no problem. I am more confident now thanks to him.

Today Queenie learned some words related to furniture. Practice “there’s⋯⋯”, and use “next to”, “in front of”, and “behind”. When practicing sentences, Queenie was not proficient at first, but she was able to speak them correctly through the teacher's guidance.

In today's class, Lily taught me the grammer about changing direct speech to indirect one. The way she explained it is easy to understand and logical.
I have had the question about how to change the verb when using indirect speech before and the grammar really help me figure it out and is stick in my mind as well. Thank Lily so much for always being patient and kind😍👍

Q3. How do I choose my tutor?
If you have a clear idea of your criteria for choosing a tutor - such as any specific learning objectives, target cost for tutoring, etc. - you can use the search function to quickly find a tutor who suits your needs, and select “book trial” to set up your first online lesson.
If you don't have time to find a tutor or aren't sure where to start, we can help with recommendations. Try using our tutor recommendation tool here, which will provide you with tutor matches according to your selected needs.
Q4. What's the right learning environment for me? Should I choose a tutor who is a native speaker?
One of the best ways to learn is to immerse yourself in an environment where you try to use only .
However, if you do not currently have a solid base in spelling and/or vocabulary, we recommend you choose a bilingual tutor who speaks your target language and your native language, as you will likely have a better learning experience during your one-on-one private tutoring.
If you have a good range of vocabulary but lack the opportunity to practice, then we recommend you choose a native tutor.
Q5. Learn in the US - how do I find a local or online tutor?
You're in the right place. We have local tutors serving New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose and most other areas nationwide, as well as numerous tutors based internationally.
Q6. How much will my online class cost?
All tutoring fees are set by the tutors themselves, and not by AT. Most of our tutors charge USD$10-30 per hour.
You can also get matched with suitable tutors who fit a specific budget. If the tutor’s fees work for you, you can buy a lesson package from them or start with a “trial lesson.”
Q7. How do I pay for my lessons?
You can pay with PayPal or credit card (American Express, Mastercard, or Visa). For certain international markets (e.g. Taiwan), we also accept local methods of payment, such as payment via ATM or convenience store.
Q8. How many lessons should I purchase?
If you have a short term goal, we recommend you purchase enough lessons that you can take classes consistently within your timeframe. If you need significant improvement to reach your goal, we recommend you an adequate number of lessons, and get into the habit of regular weekly learning! The more you put in, the more you get out of it!
Q9. What if I have more questions?
