First, he explained the meaning and the usage of the sentences, Second, he elicited the situations from the sentences when I didn’t understand the meaning of the sentence. Third, he let me try to use what I learned into some scenarios. You are not only listening to the teacher but also getting your hands on.

Álvaro was able to explain clearly when to use the past tense verbs era (imperfect) and fue (indefinite). He also clarified when to use ser vs. estar. We went over several examples using past imperfect verbs like estaba and future verbs like va in conjunction with "a" and the infinitive. I look forward to our next lesson to continue to build on my mastery of verbs.

I’ve been taking lessons with Laura for about 8 months. Laura is a wonderful teacher. She provided me with personalized lesson plans at the beginning on grammar, sentence structures, etc. Now we concentrate on speaking and listening, which is my weak area. Lessons with Laura are always relaxing and fun. I highly recommend her for students of any level.

I have had a few sessions with Paula and she is absolutely wonderful. Other classes you may feel pressure to perform in speaking the language you are studying. With Paula I feel very comfortable and it feels like I am learning from a friend. She is enthusiastic about teaching which makes the class very enjoyable. She is very knowledgeable about a range of other topics that she correlates with the lesson which keeps me interested and also helps me remember subject matter. I’m so glad I’ve started my Spanish journey with Irais. In my trial lesson we jumped straight into beginner speaking and she used hand gestures to help me remember what phrases meant! I'm an intermediate learner so I request Axel to explain Spanish in Spanish, which he can cater alsmost 80% of it. I recommend any beginner to study with Axel, for intermediate level learner, no worries and speak out your needs then you will be able to have a wonderful customized class.
